Resolve Dispute

This section explains how to resolve a dispute.



Selecting the Resolve Dispute option displays the following order-related information:

  • Certificate Information
  • Dispute Information

  1. Click Resolve Dispute on the Dispute dropdown menu.
  2. In the Resolve Dispute window, make any changes, if necessary; note that fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required fields
    Note: If information is unknown, users can enter NOT MAPPED in the following fields:
    • Panel
    • Community Code
    Also, users should observe the following guidelines:
    • Users must complete the Panel Date field; an actual date is required if entering data in the Panel field.
    • The Program Start Date field requires a date if selecting one of the following from the Program dropdown:
      • Emergency (01)
      • Regular (02)
      • Withdrawn (05)
      • Suspended (06)
      • Defunct (07)
    • Use the Mapper Comments (prints to form) field to enter a legal description, parcel number, or Zone specification.
  3. To resolve the dispute, click Overturn. The system will validate all required fields contain information. Once validated, the system will resolve the dispute and information will be saved in the history log. Completed disputes will display on the history tab for that order.
  4. To close the dispute without overturning it, click the Not Overturn button. A message appears asking to continue.
  5. Click Yes to close the dispute and return to the order screen. Click No to return to the Resolve Dispute screen. To exit the window without making any changes to the dispute, click Cancel.
